Wow! The series finale of The HOUSE OF ROYALS (Book 5) was definitely worth reading for.
Anyone who is a ‘sucker’ for Vamps (pun intended) has got to read this series and especially the explosive finale, HOUSE OF RAVENS. Ms. Taylor’s unique take on the vampire genre is not only refreshing, but modernizes their kind—while her vamps can be dark and scary, there is also a lightness to them, a fierce family loyalty, love and hatred.
After surviving the court of King Cyrus, Alivia returns home to a brewing Civil War any southerner could be proud of. The town of Silent Bend must defend itself and so must the House of Conrath. Fellow prisoners Ian and the dark and mysterious Obassi as well as her traded house members follow her home. Who and how many are they up against? Is there a traitor in their midst? Are there more secrets the House has yet to reveal? Will her new House be strong enough to win this battle? Can the town and the House work together—Human and Vampire? ...and what of Henry?
Alivia has seen the mistakes she has made on her journey to become a Royal and now is her opportunity to right those wrongs. Can she make those changes? Her love is strong for Ian, her love for her House members and the family they have created has been solidified, but with the battle for Silent Bend and the House of Conrath looming on the horizon, will it be enough to overcome the new trials sent her way?
While this is the final book in the series the question that comes to mind that there may be more to the story.

Another great book in the House of Royals series! Leary Taylor finally answered the questions we've all been dying to hear about. Namely, what is Rath? Who is behind the Bitten? And, why does that someone want my to take down the Conrath House?
And, finally, we get a calm, quiet ending. Enjoy!
The concept of paranormal is not a new one, nor is the hierarchy. But there’s a fresh twist to it. I’m now on the spin off series. Quick reads, however some of the editing is truly hard to get past. Enough so that I’m adding it into a review. It’s a bit unfortunate.
The character development was excellent. Politics multilayered. Vamps sometimes brutal, blood and gore abound. Its good for the soul to read an action filled, emotionally provocative series with a fast moving cohesive plot. Keary Taylor did an excellent job!
This book was a rollercoaster of action, emotion and closure. The ending was heart warming, poignant and dad all at once, then the epilogue threw me a curve ball! Can't wait to see what happens in the next installment of this series!
Keary has done it again! The final culmination of Alivia's journey was one filled with built up tension and twists until it exploded in a satisfying finale. Alicia's character journey has been a long road, but she finally gets what she deserves in House of Ravens. It's not without sadness and heartache, as Keary weaves into the right spots, just when we think the characters can endure no more. It's wonderful to reach the end and attain closure for this mix of unique characters. The end leaves me wanting to continue with different characters in the Blood Descendents world. I hope Keary has much more in store for us!
Where do I start with Keary and this series? I have read hundreds of books about fallen angels, guardians, werewolves, vampires, witches, shifters, seeresses, gods and demons. I am a snob, yes, and very particular about the authors I invest in. Reading is an immersive test of imagination and my time will not be wasted. Keary, in some creepy stalker like way, must have known this about me when she crafted this series. Totally not mad, I would have maybe liked dinner first but quite honestly, I wouldn't be able to put the series down long enough to accept an invitation. Keary has created a series that dives deep into the perils of fantasy, love, allegiance, humanity and conquest. We hear the gutteral cry of damaged relationships, feel the desperation of rescue, cringe when human dignity is violated and clap back when the raw strength of a people scorned conquers death. I don't enjoy unrealistic relationship goals in books. I know what it feels like to lose and many books try to salve over a loss with an additional love interest instead of walking through the hardships. Keary does not give a watered down, suger coated, over sexualized view on love. Instead the characters travel through relationships allowing the reader to experience frustration, anger, manipulation, fear, sacrifice, courage, duty and the perspective that even one piece of a shattered heart, once beating, can awaken and restore what once was lost.
If you haven't stopped reading this review to buy the book series, for heaven's sake stop now. You have my loyalty Keary...don't make it weird.
